Prindel Creek Farm is a working forest seedling nursery. You will see how seedlings are grown to replenish the great Northwest Forests after logging or devastating forest fires. Guests enjoy bird watching, hiking, bicycling and horses, trails, deer and elk are common sightings, bear, bob cats and mountain lions can be seen with a sharp eye. Salmon spawn as Five Rivers flows through the farm, a tributary of the Alsea River known nationally as one of the great fishing rivers of the West. Guided fishing and hunting tours are available.   Prindel Creek Farm is located twenty miles from the Pacific Ocean in the Oregon Coast Range Mountains. The terrain is lush green forest mountains covered with Douglas fir, Western Redcedar, Hemlock, Alder and Maple. The weather is warm and sunny in the summer, winters are cool and moist with a fair amount of rain. Prindel Creek Farm is the perfect place for a family vacation or reunion, a romantic getaway or the perfect environmental learning experience. Hunters, fishers and birders are welcome.   Learn how Salmon rivers, old growth Douglas fir trees, second growth forests, and wildlife create an interesting and complicated echo systems. Once you experience Prindel Creek Farm you will be fulfilled, knowing you had a part in the environmental recovery of our nations beautiful forests and rivers.

The Office Cabin

 

The Office Cabin offers a complete kitchen, bathroom, shower, private driveway and parking. Covered decks for enjoying the outdoors during any weather condition allows each guest the feeling nature is close at hand. Look out upon beautiful fields, a tree lined river, and hills covered with majestic Douglas fir trees. A chorus of frogs serenade guests each evening from a near by pond. Elk have been seen grazing in the Garden Field and deer are a common sight. You are invited to a secluded weekend, a couple days off, or just an evening at a cabin in the woods. Camping remains one of America's favorite outdoor pastimes, a long standing family tradition. Prindel Creek Farm offers rustic tent and small RV camping. Camp fire rings and tables are located at each camp site, portable toilets are near. Enjoy camping under the stars, the smell of the camp fire.
