Blintz booth

Can you believe we are this close to another Country Fair? Time seems to be moving very quickly, and July 9th will be here with no effort at all.

Here are a few things of interest to keep in mind.

Bring a Fire Extinguisher (5lb - ABC) or a 5 gallon bucket filled with water and one burlap bag submerged for your camp. A shovel handy is a good idea also. Be safe and smart, be prepared.

The Path Planning Committee is holding a Design Charrette at the Eugene Garden Club, 1645 High Street in Eugene on Sunday, April 18th 11 AM to 4 PM. A Design Charrette is a brainstorming session to generate ideas for future growth. The study areas are Gypsy Way and Craft Lot. Maps, pens and tracing paper will be provided. Food will also be available, and an RSVP is requested by April 12th.

No Glow Sticks this year. Glow sticks emit a wonderful light for hours at a time, but they are designed to be garbage after just one use. The contents of a glow stick are actually organic, but not everything organic was meant to be ingested or come in contact with our skin.

The Country Fair web site oregoncountryfair.net has a lot of information including applications and the guidelines. It is recommended that everyone read the fair guidelines booklet at this link http://www.oregoncountryfair.net/Pages/2010OCFGuidelines.pdf .

Booth set up day is June 26th. We have been getting the set up done in one day. The day is fun, and it’s great to see everyone again. We do need your assistance to get the booth ready for people to show up on 6th, 7th and 8th of July. Please let us know that you will be arriving at the fair site to help set up the booth.
